That is not a slogan we parked under a product. It is the product. Software is about to send a truck. Someone still has to know whether the shop on the other end is still that shop — licensed, at that address, the named entity the human thought they were hiring — on the date the agent acts. The Lodestar Stamp is that dated receipt.

We attest. We do not approve the booking. The agent still decides.

The hole

Checkout protocols are getting good at the payer. They can prove a person authorized an agent to spend. They do not attest the counterparty. License, address, same shop as last month: those facts sit in city files and web pages, and an agent in a hurry will take the first name a model offers.

A name in a chat is not a receipt. A listing you can buy is not a receipt. If the party on the record can pay to change the line, the line is not a record.

The stamp is the other object. A named entity. A date. What we attested, from which instrument, until when. Last-known, not a live lock. The caller owns freshness. Then the agent acts, or does not.

Dated is the whole point. A shop can move, a license can lapse, a name can keep going after the company behind it does not. A receipt without a date is a rumor with typesetting. When a field expires it stops answering as attested. That is honesty, not a feature we forgot to ship.

What the stamp is

Lodestar Stamp publishes a dated receipt on each named entity in a covered market. Chicago HVAC is how we prove it. It is not the name.

Every business in that market can have a stamp whether it asked or paid. You cannot buy a stamp, buy out of one, or pay to change what we attested. Watching is a readout of the public receipt. It never moves the public receipt.

An agent that needs the receipt does not install us. It reads https://lodestarstamp.com/llms.txt, takes the discovery card at /.well-known/mcp.json, and calls endpoints.trust on a covered domain. Ten minutes. No key. That card is discovery, not a booking yes.

What comes back is small on purpose. Fields that have an instrument: whether the shop is real, whether it is at that address, whether it is licensed. verified is what we attested on a date. claimed is asserted, not checked. not_published is not an attestation. An absent key is our coverage, not a fact about the shop.

We do not tell the agent which shop to hire. We tell it what was true on the receipt.

What the receipt is for

The stamp is a dated fact about one named entity. Read it before you act. Leave the hiring decision with the agent and the human.

A 200 is not permission to book. The human remains on the hook. So does the agent.

Payment never touches the record. Receipts are free and public. No leads sold. Ever.

Chicago HVAC stays the beachhead under the line. When we cover another trade and city, the receipt is the same object.

Who keeps it

Lodestar Stamp is published by Banjo Ventures. Corrections need evidence, or the next reproducible edition. They reach a person, not a form that files itself.

The public record is free. What can be bought is notification: when this shop’s stamp moves. That purchase does not move it.

If you keep a book of shops, the receipts are public. Watch them. Do not ask us to rewrite them.
