What you are not buying

Payment never touches the grade. A subscription changes what you are told and when; it never changes the public scorecard.
Before you pay
- Do I have to create an account?
- No. There is no login, password or dashboard. Stripe handles payment; the readout arrives by email.
- Which businesses can I watch today?
- The 58 we already track in Chicago HVAC. This is a soft-launch pilot with one market on purpose; the board is searchable, so you can check before you pay rather than after.
- Can paying change my score, even a little?
- No. The public score comes out of a published battery and a dual-pass probe, both reproducible by anyone. Paying only starts the monthly readout.
- Rather ask a person first?
- Email watch@lodestarindex.com. Ask about scope, tiers, what the readout looks like, or whether watching is worth it for you at all; a person answers.
Cancel by emailing watch@lodestarindex.com — readouts stop at the end of the period and your scorecard stays public and free. Prices in USD, billed monthly.
